This page is a list of rooms inside the DERI building. At the same time, the page contains RDFa markup and defines permanent web identifiers (URIs) for the floors, wings, rooms and desks in the building.

The DERI building

A three-story building in the IDA Business Park at Lower Dangan, Galway, Ireland. The building has a T-shaped floor plan; each floor is thus divided into a west wing, north wing and south wing. Additional rooms, such as the ground floor lobby and the second-floor kitchen, are located in the center of the building. An extension on the ground floor hosts the DERI Café.

Editorial notes and colophon

The data has been obtained by studying the desk plans that are available in the Facility Management section of DERI's intranet. Room numbers on the second floor was obtained by inspecting signs on the doors. Not all rooms and desks in DERI are numbered in the source plans, and therefore some locations are not shown in this page. The plans also contain desk assignments.

This HTML+RDFa page is generated by a PHP script. All data is encoded as nested PHP arrays inside the script. The PHP arrays have been created by manually transcribing information from the desk plans. The desk assignment information is extracted from the Excel desk plans using PHP code.

The page is maintained by Richard Cyganiak of DERI's Linked Data Research Centre (LiDRC).
